Our introduction

Afghanistan Organization for Cancer Control

Founded in 2024, the Afghanistan Organization for Cancer Control (AOCC) is a non-governmental, non-profit entity. Our members include national and international medical professionals, academics, development experts, volunteers, and individuals dedicated to cancer prevention, research, and care in Afghanistan and globally. AOCC is headquartered in Kabul, Afghanistan, with sub-offices located across the globe to support our international collaboration and outreach. Our mission is to improve the well-being of Afghan cancer patients and to establish a robust network of cancer care services within the country. Due to the limited availability of local facilities, many patients are forced to travel abroad for treatment. AOCC strives to provide comprehensive cancer care within Afghanistan, alleviating this burden and ensuring accessible, quality treatment for all.
